Overview

Perge:

Perge, founded in around 1200 BC is the closest significant Roman ruin to Antalya, and well worth a visit.

Aspendos:

Situated a little way from the Antalya-Alanya main road and dates back to the 5th century BC. This extremely well-preserved Roman amphitheater, which was built around the 2nd century AD, was later used by the Seljuks as a caravanserai. With a seating capacity of over 17000, it is still used today to host spectacular concerts, ballets, and other significant events.

Side:

Side was an ancient maritime city of Pamphylia in the ancient time. Naturally, Side used to be one of the most important trade centers in antiquity and now it is one of the most popular holiday resorts in Turkey.

Manavgat Waterfall on the Manavgat River is near the city of Side, and 3km north of Manavgat. Its high flow over a wide area as it falls from a low height is best viewed from a high altitude.
